Provided for this lot is a custom arrow case, and arrow turner, crafted by the renowend Bozeman, Montana local Seth Bohart. Bohart was the original owner of the Bohart Ranch, which is known today as the Bohart Cross Country Ski Ranch. Seth was a Staff Sargeant in World War Two with the US Army Intelligence Corps, and was a Gallatin County Attorney, though he is most well known for playing a role in the 1932 capture of Security Bank & Trust Company robbers, Paul Rushton & Andrew Hunter. During the ensuing shoot-out in Bridger Canyon, both robbers were killed and Gallatin County Sheriff O.L. DeVore was wounded. The case for the arrows shows custom wood-burned graphics, depicting wild animals, and a Native American Indian Chief standing next to his teepee. Bohart grew up in the area, and established good relation with the natives that passed through, during the early 1900's. The Native American influence shows in the custom painted arrows - which Bohart crafted the turner for. Insert the nock of the arrow into the mechanism, plug in, and turn on, and the arrow would spin slowly, making for easy painting on the arrow shaft. The arrow case includes fifteen arrows, and numerous pieces of arrow crafting tools. Overall, the set shows good condition for age - The turner works when plugged in, and the case shows good detail. You can see the dynamic movement of the arrow turner in picture #14. The case does have a small split in the lid. The case measures 38" x 8" x 6 1/4".
