Included in this lot is a Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 10 Police and Military double action revolver, chambered for .38 Smith & Wesson Special. The revolver features a six-shot swing out cylinder, blue'd finish, 6" barrel, serrated trigger & hammer, fixed sights, and gorgeous checkered walnut grips. The revolver is marked in numerous places, reading; "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side of the barrel, "Smith & Wesson Springfield, MASS. U.S.A. - Patented Feb. 6. 06. Sept. 14. 09. Dec 29. 14." on the top of the barrel, "38 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG" on the right side of the barrel, "MADE IN U.S.A." on the right side of the frame, showing the trademark "S&W" logo on the right side of the frame, and medallions on both sides of the walnut grips. The firearm shows good condition overall, with good blue finish, and very-good walnut fixtures—the finish does show some holster wear. Mechanically, the revolver is in good condition, showing a bright bore, with strong rifling, and very light pitting. The action is tight, and in good time, with good cylinder lockup. These Pre-Model 10 revolvers were manufactured from 1945 to 1948. Serial Number: S907924. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
