Featured in this lot is this 1999 first edition of "Saloons, Bars & Cigar Stores: Historical Interior Photographs" by Roger E. Kislingbury, published by Waldo & VanWinkle in Pasadena, California. The front cover features a faux leather construction and shows the title in gold gilt lettering. The spine shows the title, author and publishers names in gold gilt lettering as well. The book is illustrated with numerous photos black and white photos, including 28 colored reproductions of lithograph postcards. The contents in this book range from: saloon interior photos, cigar store interior photos, high grade bar rooms, patrons, bartenders, proprietors, taxidermy, dogs, early floor model slot and amusement machines on location, cigar counters, pool rooms and vintage coin operated machines. Each photo is given a write-up with information on the bar, location (if known) and things included in the photo such as over 100 coin-operated devices, mainly vintage slot machines. The book shows good condition overall with little to no wear present on the outside cover or interior pages. The book measures 9 3/8" L x 12 1/4" W x 1" D and weighs 3 pounds and 14 ounces.
