Included in this lot is a dark brown salt glazed whiskey pottery jar originating from the 1800's. The jar displays thick pottery construction with a carry loop across the top. The top of the jar shows a short round throat with a cork stopper. The jar is colored a dark brown with a salt glaze protective coating across the exterior. The jug is unmarked and free of maker’s marks. The piece shows good condition overall, with some light wear across the jug. The jar measures 10" tall with a diameter of 7 1/2".
