The lot features a floral beaded breech clout from the Santee Sioux Native American Indians from the mid-20th Century. The set shows a front and back breechclout used for warrior full dress or ceremonial dress. The set is constructed of trade clothe and trade wool having a green, red and maroon coloring with yellow trim and braided long presentation like fringe. The set shows Indian tanned hide long ties and would have been worn around the users waist. The beadwork shows three flowers of orange, corn yellow and faceted semi-transparent orange with faceted semi-transparent green and medium green leaves and stem. The set shows overall good condition. Each measures 15.5"x13.5" with fringe and 14-15"L ties.
