Included in this lot is a pair of early Santee Sioux Native American Indian beaded moccasins dating from circa 1930-1940's. The moccasins show an Indian tanned hide construction. The front of the moccasins shows excellent petit glass trade seed beads in Cheyenne pink, greasy green, greasy blue, and chalk white. The beadwork pattern is in a wonderful geometric floral combination, a style almost exclusively found on Santee Sioux and other Eastern Sioux pieces. Under the lip features a sewn in trade cloth. These moccasins are in good condition. showing some wear on the soles. The soles measure 11" long and the ankle measuring 3 1/4" tall.
