Featured in this lot we have a SAR manufactured British Tower flintlock black powder pistol with the model design originating from the 1800's. The pistol displays a 9" long round barrel, brass trigger guard and pommel, and etched flintlock arm and lock plate. The barrel is marked with import and manufacturer stamps along the left side. The lock plate and arm show etched border line designs with the lock plate marked "SAR GR" with a crown design above the initials. The pistol shows a brass under barrel ram rod holder, though the rod is missing. The piece shows working but weak mechanics and good condition overall with some wear and light rust. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
