Included in this lot we have a Sarouk Persian hand knotted wool area rug originating from the 1930's. The rug featured geometric floral patterns, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Sarouk rug is a style of Persian rug made in the village of Sarouk located 25 miles North Arak. The Sarouk rugs are known for their floral patterns and tight weave. The rug displays geometric medallion patterns with a multi layered border. The pieces shows colors of red, blue, green, black, gold, and brown. The piece shows a wonderful tight weave and fringe at one end. The rug shows good condition, with little wear and use. The piece measures 151" long by 121" wide.
