Included in this lot is a Sarouk Persian hand-knotted wool area rug, originating from the 1930s. The rug features geometric floral patterns, bright colors and a tight weave. The Sarouk rug is a style of Persian rug made in the village of Sarouk, located 25 miles north of Arak. The Sarouk rugs are known for their floral patterns and tight weave. The rug displays geometric medallion patterns with a multi-layered border. The piece shows colors of red, tan, blue, green, dark red, black, and orange. The piece shows a wonderful tight weave and fringe at one end. The rug is in good condition, with little wear and use. The piece measures 62" wide by 113" long.*
