Included in this lot we have a Sarouk Persian hand knotted wool runner rug originating from the 1930's. The rug featured geometric floral patterns, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Sarouk rug is a style of Persian rug made in the village of Sarouk located 25 miles North Arak. The Sarouk rugs are known for their floral patterns and tight weave. The rug displays geometric patterns and floral designs with a multi layered border. The pieces shows colors of red, blue, light blue, orange, white, yellow, and brown. The piece shows a wonderful tight weave and fringe at each end. The rug shows good condition overall with some little wear. The rug weighs 21lbs 12oz. The rug measures 55 1/2" wide by 88" long.
