Featured in this lot we have a Stevens Favorite Model 71 by Savage Arms rolling block rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle and Short. The Stevens Favorite single shot rifle was manufactured in 1971 by Savage Arms. The rifle displays a 22" long octagonal barrel, walnut stock and fore grip, case hardened frame, with gold plated trigger and lever, and brass medallion on the stock. The frame is marked on both side in gold etched writing "Stevens Favorite" and the barrel marked across the top reading "Model 71 Savage Arms-Westfield, Mass, U.S.A. 22 Short, Long or Long Rifle". The rifle comes with its original box and formed foam interior with papers. The stock shows a brass medallion featuring a embossed image of Joshua Stevens and marked "Joshua Stevens Father of 22 Hunting". This classic firearm shows wonderful condition and makes a fantastic collectable as well as target rifle. The mechanics show a smooth action and functional trigger system. The rifle shows good condition with bright finishes and little to no wear. Serial Number 12879. This is a modern firearm and requires a FFL transfer or NICS background check.
