Offered for sale is a Savage arms model 340B .30-30 rifle. This rifle is an American invention, born of necessity in the days when trappers, explorers, soldiers, and pioneers settled the land and eventually pushed the boundary of the country all of the way to the Pacific shore. The rifle first appeared in the 1950s and since has undergone many renditions. This rifle shows strong bluing of the barrel and receiver, the straight grain walnut stock does have signs of wear. The receiver is marked on the left side "Savage Arms Co. - Chicopee Falls, MASS U.S.A. - Proof Tested 30-30 Cal. - Savage Model 340." The gun does feature a adjustable iron sights system. Overall the rifle is in good condition for its age and appears to function. No serial number. This is a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires NICS background check, or FFL transfer. NO MAGAZINE.
