This is an excellent hand woven flat weave rug by master weaver, Pedro Sosa. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun wool angora wool blend yarns in a beautiful Second Phase Chief Blanket pattern. The rug was hand woven with a tight weave using 100% Wool blend, which offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, hand woven weave, displayed with natural fleece tones, is in the fine Second Phase Chief Blanket pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Pedro Sosa. This rug shows iconic Zapotec design with thick, symmetrical Second Phase Chief Blanket design, a large medium red field decoration design, and stripe decorated bands with designs including coloration of black and cream on a red field. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 5’ by 4’ (5 foot by 4 foot). This is a brand new rug.
