For your consideration is this Seminole Indian pine needle hand woven basket, circa early 1900's. The basket shows 21 tightly hand woven coils to the construction of the basket and shows a pine needle core that the baskets straw is woven around. The rim of the basket is wrapped in leather, with a third of the rim exposed from use. The bottom shows a naturally dyed center circle. The condition of this hand woven basket is good, showing no obvious signs of damage and wear consistent with its age; it has a heavy patina adorning the inside of the basket from use. The measurements of this hand woven basket are 4" x 13 1/2" x 14".
