This lot features an antique Sheridan Silver Co. Silver-on-copper beverage urn. Sheridan Silver Co originated in 1944 as the C & C Silver Company by Joseph Caiozzo and Harmody. The company became incorporated in 1946 as Sheridan Silver Co. Inc. A touch of elegance wonderfully describes this beautiful Rococo styled Sheridan silver on copper urn. The urn has 4 dolphin shaped legs and a removable alcohol burner. The lid has an acorn finial. The urn is a highly ornate piece of history. “Silver on Copper” and 3 hallmarks are stamped on the underside of the base. There is some tarnish inside and outside consistent with age, but it is in great condition with no chips, flakes, dents, or major scratches noted; one leg and one handle have come loose from their respective spot welds. The urn is made for hot liquids to be poured into it, but it is not a percolator. It measures 19" H x 11" W from handle to handle.
