Featured in this lot is this original oil painting from Montana artist (Born 1936). The oil painting features a scene of a cowboy drinking water from a stream with his trusted horse behind him and a her of cattle in the distance as far as the eye can see. Sheryl Bodily was born in Boise, Idaho in 1936 to a family of five children and was son to a farmer. He recalls moving six separate times as a child for farming work, countless farming chores and having the hobby of collecting arrowheads and artifacts in the Rocky Canyon near Meridian, Idaho. Later he was considered a Montanan being a resident of Columbia Falls, Montana. Bodily has won countless awards and Best of Show with his works being widely collectible. Bodily is a well known Montana artist known for his Western Wildlife and landscapes, as well as, his paintings of Native Americans. The artist signature can be seen in the bottom left hand corner of the painting. The condition of this framed oil painting is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this framed oil painting are 14 7/8" x 17 7/8" and the visible art measures 10 1/2" x 13 1/2".
