The lot features an early 1900 Shoshone Native American Indian tanned hide cradleboard papoose. The piece shows a wood board construction that is wrapped in Indian tanned hide with a tent canvas and trade calico fabric head covering. The board shows the original tie straps and shows a heavy harness leather strap. The piece shows wear from age and use, but overall displays well. Provenance: From a large Great Falls, Montana Native American artifact and weapons collection. Measures overall 31"L x 12.5"W.
