Featured in this lot is this Shoshone Indian tanned hide warrior and horse by Shoshone artist Dianne Ottogary. The doll features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wood and Indian tanned hide construction that features a Shoshone warrior holding up a peace pipe with a bow and quiver of arrows and a spear slung across his back and riding a horse with war paint adorning the horse and sitting on a fringed saddle blanket. The doll is profusely beaded on the reins of the horse and the garments of the warrior and to the quiver itself and horizontally above the fringe of the saddle blanket with trade seed beads that include colors of medium red, black, grey, pumpkin orange, translucent green, and yellow. The bottom of the horse is marked with 'Dianne Ottogary.' The condition of this Shoshone warrior doll is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this doll is 9 1/2" x 9" x 5 1/2".
