In this lot are a wooden crate and box, as well as a used Signal Corps US Army radio transmitter BC 684-B. This radio transmitter is from the 1940's. It is serial no.1448, order # 15159, Phila-44 made by Western Electric New York. This is a VHF-transmitter, frequency range 27-38.9 MHz with 10 crystal controlled channels preset, NBFM, and 20w. output power. The case of this transmitter has many scratches on its black paint, but the "tubes" appear intact in the back. This Radio is the wooden crate that it was originally shipped in. The radio measures 18" X 9" X 11 1/2". The radio by itself weighs over 66lb, not including the wooden crate.
