For your consideration in this lot we have a signed basset hound bronze bell by Carl Wagner in 1978. Wagner (1938- 2011) was a artist located in Colorado who was known for his sculptures of animals and wild life. The bell shows solid bronze construction and is part of a limited edition collection. The bell is made in the likeness of a basset hound with the clapper in the shape of a dog paw. The piece shows good detail in the face of the hound. The bell is signed on the inside reading "C 78 C. Wagner 85/1000" and is marked behind the right ear reading "Hound Dog". It shows good condition overall with some light wear. The piece measures 5 1/4" tall with a diameter of approximately 4 3/4".
