For your consideration in this lot we have a Hopi Native American eagle dancer Kachina doll. The kachinas were not used as toys, but rather were hung from walls, or stood on a surface, to provide spiritual protection or provide luck for the family. This Kachina displays hand carved construction and is adorned with white feathers and soft white fur. The figure is wrapped in purple dyed leather with hand painted designs and face. The bottom of the base is marked "Eagle Begas 405211". The piece shows good condition overall wide some light wear. The doll measures 11 1/4" tall by 11 3/4" wide.
