For your consideration is an Original Signed K.W. Moore, Sr. Oil on Canvas, "The Visitor". This quietly emotional and beautiful oil painting displays a smiling elderly Native woman in a small log cabin, sitting on a fleece covered bed, a dog by her side as her hand is motioning towards an open doorway. Ken W. Moore, Sr. (1946-) is a renowned American realist painter best known for his nostalgic, vivid depictions of Western and Native American heritage. His highly detailed oil paintings, drawings, and limited-edition prints often feature cowboys, horses, and historical Western landscapes. He portrays Native American dancers and working cowboys in natural, realistic settings. Ken's grandfather was full blooded Choctaw and Ken always has felt a strong connection and pride in the American Indian. His drawings and paintings have been prominently featured in prestigious cowboy art shows and auctions, such as the C.M. Russell Museum and Show in Montana, the Western Art Roundup in Nevada, and the Ellensburg Art Show in Washington. This masterful painting is in wonderful condition, the vibrancy of the colours and attention to detail of the setting is stunning. Artist's signature is on the bottom left corner. Painting title with artist's name is engraved on a brass plaque on centre bottom of frame gilt trim. Title and artist's name is also on the reverse stretcher frame. The professionally mounted rustic wood gold gilt matted frame is in very nice condition. Visible art measures 17.625"W x 23.625"L, frame is 28"W x 34.25"L x 3"D. Total weight is 9lb, 10oz.
