Featured in this lot is an Original Signed Gary Schildt Bronze Ram Sculpture, 1984, Limited Editions. Gary Joseph Schildt (1938-2021), also known by his Blackfeet name "Lone Bull," was a renowned American painter and sculptor known for his impressionistic portrayals of Western figures, particularly children and the Blackfeet people. Born in Helena, Montana, and raised on the Blackfeet Reservation, his work was deeply rooted in preserving and celebrating Indigenous culture. In 1999, he received the Montana Governor's Award for the Arts, and in 2014, he was inducted into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame. Schildt was a founding member of the Northwest Rendezvous Group and a frequent exhibitor at major auctions. His work is widely collected. This piece is signed and dated, limited edition #189/500. Solid wood base has non-skid felt pad. Respective measurements are 3.25"W x 5.25"L x 6.25"H, collective weight is 2lb, 2oz.
