For your consideration is this signed, limited edition Roberta Peck hand-cast paper relief sculpture of a Native American woman. Born in Cleveland Ohio, Roberta Peck graduated from Kent State University with a double degree in Fine Arts and Art Education in 1969. Thereafter, she spent two years studying European art, focusing primarily on classic sculpture and bas relief. Today, she is well known for her nudes of both male and female figures and her feminine images of dancers and ladies in various states of motion and relaxation. The wonderful texture and dazzling contrast of the white hand cast paper she uses adds to the drama of her instantly recognizable pieces. Roberta Peck has won four national competitions with her delicately sculptured art. The piece shows a Native American woman with a necklace and earrings sitting down holding a piece of pottery looking into the distance. The piece shows fine attention to detail. It is signed in the bottom right reading, "Peck" and is numbered on the bottom left reading, "60/750" showing that it is a limited edition piece. The work of art is set in a 3-layer shadow box frame, giving the illusion that the piece is floating. The back of the frame features an "About the Artist" piece of paper telling about Roberta Peck's life. Overall the piece and frame are in good condition with no signs of obvious damage. The art measures 20" L x 28 1/4". The entire piece measures 32" L x 40" W.
