Sioux Beaded Tanned Hide Men's Moccasins 1930-40s

For your consideration is this pair of beaded, tanned hide, hard sole men's moccasins from the Sioux Tribe of the Northern Plains from the 1930-40s. The set exhibits a hardened Indian tanned hide buckskin construction with a beaded top and red pigment paint on the tongues. The bead work shows geometric designs with a majority blue color throughout the area and the designs present on the edges around the moccasins and set in the center below the tongue. The beads show colors of light blue, yellow, orange / red, cloudy white, dark blue, purple and transparent yellow. They show slight bead loss in some areas. They show good to fair condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The hide has hardened over the years and is fairly stiff. One has a permanent curve to it. They measure 9 3/4" L x 5" W x 3" H to 11 1/4" L x 5 1/8" W x 2 3/4" H. They have a weight of 15 ounces.
