The lot features a Sioux Native American Indian adze hide scrapper dating to the late 19th early 20th Centuries. The piece shows a Buffalo Great American Bison bone construction with Indian tanned hide wrapped end and hide tied gun barrel forged iron hide scrapper. The piece shows a nice patina and would have been used to clean off the Buffalo, Deer and Elk hides used by the Sioux people for tipi's, clothing and other items. This example measures overall 11" x 2 1/8". Provenance: From a large American Indian collection in Great Falls, Montana.
