This is a Sioux Native American Indian catlinite pipe bowl and stem from the mid to late 1900's. The pipe bowl is carved from solid catlinite and the stem is carved from wood wrapped in rawhide. The pipe is adorned in wool trade cloth and hand cut fringe with glass seed trade bead wraps. The Sioux pipe is in good overall condition. There is a crack in the pipe bowl as shown. The pipe measures 25.75" long overall.
