The lot features a unique beaded war club with hide wrapped “floppy” stone head skull cracker war club attributed to the Sioux Native American Indians of circa 1880’s. The piece shows a large stone wrapped and sewn in thick rawhide / Indian hide and attached with hide to the beautifully beaded haft. The head is able to “flop” back and forth giving the user momentum when striking, making this a menacing weapon. The beadwork is all linear in colors of red, greasy yellow, green and chalk white. At the end of the club shows a long has of old black horse tail hair attached to the bottom of the haft with old hide lacing and red stroud trade clothe being a total of 33-inches in length. The club itself without the drop is 18 inches in length with a 3 inch wide head.
