The lot features a beaded men’s war shirt attributed to the Sioux Native American Indians from mid-to-late 20th Century. The piece is constructed from red blanket like trade clothe with long hide fringes and geometric beadwork panels in glass pony beads. The piece has a wonderful early geometric traditional pattern that displays beautifully. The shirt shows wide beadwork strips that extend down the entire chest and back of the wearer, down each outside edge of the arm and a large beaded section at the center of the front. The piece has contemporary machine sewing with fleece like trimming and sheer fabric inside lining. This is a full size men’s warrior shirt in traditional 19th Century styling with mid century to modern age. The piece measures overall when laid 65”W by 35.5”L.
