For your consideration in this lot we have a brass rubbing of Sir Robert Wilson from the Westminster Abby in 1849. The image shows General Sir Robert Thomas Wilson (1777- 1849) in his 15th century plate armor with a lion around his feet. The original brass art piece is set as a art decoration from Sir Wilson's grave in Westminster Abby in London. The piece is marked across the bottom, reading "Sir Robert Wilson, Westminster Abby - 1849". The piece is in good condition overall with a few spots of chalk or dust on the piece. The frame measures 15 1/4" wide by 40 1/4" tall.
