This is a salesman sample of "Life of Sitting Bull and the History of the Indian War" by W. Fletcher Johnson published in 1891. The book is an abbreviated version of the full length book that shows a beautifully illustrated gilt decorated cover. There are numerous illustrations of Indian war scenes as well as known figures such as Buffalo Bill, White Eagle, Sitting Bull, General Miles, General Custer and many more. The back of the book has several pages of order forms. The salesman sample book is in good condition. It measures 5.75" x 8".
