For your consideration is a Smith & Wesson Military & Police Model of 1905 .38 Special caliber revolver. Evolved from the Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector Model of 1902, the .38 Smith & Wesson Model Military & Police Model of 1905 is the third evolution of the S&W Model 10 (1948 to date) and the forerunner of the S&W Victory revolver. A six-shot hand-ejector swing-out cylinder K-Frame revolver chambered in .38 Special (aka 38 S&W Special & 38 Colt Special) with either round-butt or square-butt and checkered walnut grips. This revolver utilizes a 4” barrel chambered in .38 Special caliber. The barrel is fixed with a fixed blade front sight and integrated rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked “Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass. U.S.A. Patented Feb. 8. 06. Sept. 14. 09. Dec. 29. 14”. The left of the barrel is roll stamped “Smith & Wesson” and the right “38 S&W Special CTG”. The revolver has a serrated trigger showing the original factory case hardened finish. The firearm shows good condition with an honest wear from use. The firearm is fit with walnut grips. This M&P Model of 1905 is a 4th Change, which were manufactured between 1915 and 1942.
