Featured in this lot we have a Smith & Wesson model 15-3 double action revolver chambered in .38 special. The revolver was manufactured by Smith & Wesson in 1971. The revolver shows a short 2" long barrel, six shot cylinder, walnut checkered grips, fixed sights, and double action. The pistol is marked across the barrel on the left side reading "SMITH & WESSON" with the right side reading "38 s. & W. SPL." and the frame marked with a Smith & Wesson trademark logo and "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS". The walnut grips show crisp checkering and Smith & Wesson medallion across the top. The revolver shows a wonderful blue finish across the frame and barrel with the hammer and trigger showing a case hardened finish. Mechanically the revolver displays a crisp trigger and smooth timing on the cylinder. The revolver shows good condition overall with only minor handling wear. The pistol comes with a Smith & Wesson storage box. The pistol weighs 2lbs 2oz. Serial Number: 1K80844. This is a modern firearm and requires a FFL transfer or NICS background check.
