Included in this lot is a Smokey Bear porcelain enamel sign. Smokey Bear was adopted by the U.S. Forest Service back in the 1940's as part of their campaign to prevent forest fires. This sign shows a match book with Smokey's face in the forefront. The sign is in good condition with slight oxidation consistent with use and age. The porcelain sign measures 11" x 7 ¾”.
