Featured in this lot are four Smokey the Bear cardstock posters from 1961 to 1974. All four of the posters in this lot were presented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service and were printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office. The first reads, "Smokey's friends don't play with matches" and shows a scene of paper made animals and trees with Smokey standing front and center. The second in this was presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Forest and Waters and the U.S. Forest Service and shows a baby deer standing alone in the middle of a burnt forest with a fire going on in the background. The bottom reads, "Remember - Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires". In the bottom left it shows Smokey's face. The third in this collection shows a black background with a trash fire burning front and center. The top reads, "Don't Let Your Fire Get Away" in white lettering. The fourth and final in this collection shows a white background with Smokey the Bear front and center with the word, "Think" in bold black lettering above his head. The letter "I" in think is a broken and burnt match. The posters in this collection show good condition overall with some wear present from their age and use over the years but no signs of obvious damage are present. The posters measure 18 1/2" L x 13" W.
