Featured in this lot is this collection of South African Bushman hand carved animals, circa 1950's. There are five animals in this collection. The first is a large cheetah with warthog tusk teeth and fire decorated spots throughout. The second is a Rhino carving with natural black ochre paint. The third is a hand carved hippopotamus showing good craftsmanship and wonderful decoration. The second to last piece is a hand caved, fire burn decorated turtle showing iconic Bushman crafted design. The last item is a hand carved, Bushman crafted elephant with removable tusks and fire burnt decoration. The condition of these hand carved bushman animal figures is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of these Bushman carved animals are: 4" x 11 3/4" x 3" for the cheetah, 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 1 1/2" for the rhino, 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 3" for the hippo, and 1 1/4" x 3" x 1 1/2" for the turtle.
