Featured in this lot is this South African handmade musical bow, circa 1950's. The music bow features a hard wood branch construction with sinew wrapped sections and a waxed bow string. The musical bow (bowstring or string bow, a subset of bar zithers) is a simple string instrument used by a number of South African peoples. The condition of this music bow is fair, with no obvious signs of damage; it features a loosely wrapped grip. The measurements of this music bow are 32" x 3 3/4" x 1/2".
