Featured in this lot is this southwestern sterling silver and turquoise pin collection. There are four pins in this collection. The first is sterling silver waterbird effigy that features a tooled decoration to the wings with a pear shape turquoise cabochon set into the center of the pin. The second is a sterling sterling silver leaping deer pin. The third is a sterling silver steer with eyes of round turquoise cabochon set into the face of the steer head; the steer head is marked 'AB' with a hallmark underneath the initials. The last is a V-shape sterling silver pin with a stamped design of geometric patterns to the center of the V-shape pin. The condition of this collection of pins is good with a slight patina adorning the pins but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this pin collection range from 2 3/8" x 1" to 2 7/8" x 2 1/8". The collective weight of this pin collection is 28.7g. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. Truly an outstanding example.
