For sale in this lot is a Springfield / J. Stevens Model 87A, semi-automatic rifle, chambered in .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. The rifle utilizes a 24" round barrel, rear notch sight, with a dovetailed blade front sight, and a solid straight grain walnut stock. The rifle is marked in numerous places, reading; "Springfield - J. Stevens Arms Company - Chicopee Falls, MASS. U.S.A. - Model 87A" on the top of the barrel, in front of the rear sight, ".22 Short Long or Long Rifle - Long Rifle Only As Automatic" on the left side of the barrel, underneath the rear sight, and "2094577 Patents 2224758 - 2223093" on the right side of the barrel, underneath the rear sight. The rifle is in good condition overall, with a good action, and a bright bore, with strong rifling. No serial number. This is a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires NICS background check, or FFL transfer.
