Offered in this lot is a sterling silver necklace with a Mayan Aztec idol pendant with turquoise and coral. The pendant hangs from two pieces of Herring bone chain measuring 12" long. The pendant shows an idol with a large headdress that has a bird hanging from each side. The pendant has very fine silverwork to it. The idol is standing on a pedestal. There are three turquoise dots in the headdress and tear shaped pieces for the eyes. There are small coral pieces for "earrings" on the idol, as well as a piece in the headdress and a piece in the pedestal he is standing on. The idol measures 3 3/8" x 2 ½” and is stamped on the back “925”. The piece weighs 43.7 grams.
