The lot features an original rare Stevens Model No. 43 Diamond Second Issue single shot competition pistol. The handgun is chambered in a .22 Rimfire caliber and shows a steel frame with smooth walnut factory original inserts. The piece shows a round 6-inch barrel with dovetail mounted bead front sights and standard adjustable notched rear sights. The firing pin is in solid frame and not bushing. This is an all serial number matching firearm. The pistol shows a nickel-plated steel frame retaining much of the original finish with the barrel having a gray patina with some of the original blue showing. Mechanically functions. Handling wear and signs of use. Approximately 73,000 of these Stevens Diamond No. 43 pistols were produced from circa 1896-1916. North American Auction Company sold a No. 43 pistol at our 4/1/2017 auction for over $450.00. The pistol qualifies as a Curio & Relic Handgun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number 2712.
