Featured in this lot we have a Stevens Arms Co. tip up single shot rifle chambered in .22 caliber. The rifle displays a 23 7/8" long octagonal barrel, walnut stock, tip up design, single action hammer, and metal butt plate. The barrel is marked reading "J. STEVENS A & T CO. CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A. PAT. SEPT. 8. 1864" on the left side with the right reading "22 SHORT OR LONG RIFLE". Mechanically the rifle shows a crisp trigger, operational hammer, and good tip up action. The rifle shows good condition overall with some wear and pitting due to age and use. The rifle weighs 6lbs 12oz. Serial Number: 26811. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
