The book features stories and accounts of famous Western figures such as Kit Carson, Buffalo Bill, Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Sam Houston and many more. The cover is wonderfully decorated with scenes from the Old West and there are numerous illustrations throughout the book, including a chromolithograph opposite the title page.
