For your consideration in this lot is a collection of mid to late 1800's personal items. The lot consists of two folding straight razors, two razor hone stones a "Button Hook" and a silver butter knife. The first "folding" straight razor is from The Lawton Cutlery Co. Chicago Made in Germany The blade says "Rattler" and "Squaredeal" on it. Open the blade and handle measures 9 1/2". The next razor says " Platinum" by Buerger Bros.s.Co. Denver made in Germany. The Buerger Brothers Supply Company distributed barber and beauty shop furniture and supplies throughout Colorado and the surrounding states from 1885. Open the razor measures 9 1/2". The button hook has no makers mark but is in very nice condition, and measures almost 8". The first hone is in a tin case that reads "Diamond King Razor Hone Norvell-Shapleigh Hardware C. St. Louis", the stone says "The Diamond King Razor Hone". The second hone is in the original cardboard box. "Swaty Razor Hone" S.R. Droescher, Inc". Both hones measure5 1/2" x 2 1/4". The last item in this lot is a silver butter knife. The butter knife is in the Rialto pattern. The pattern came in 1894 and was made by Sidney Smith. The knife is stamped Holmes & Edwards XIV. The knife measures 7 1/2' and has amazing patina.
