For your bidding pleasure is this Striped Wool Pacific North West Pendleton Capote. The Pendleton Company was one of the first trading companies in the Pacific North West along the Oregon Trail. The capote is blue dyed wool with red, blue, and green stripes symmetrically woven into the coat. The original capote was the winter coat of choice used by mountain men and trappers. It was first designed in the early 19th century using old wool blankets. The measurements of this capote are 27" chest and 58" top of hoop to bottom.
