For your consideration this lot includes a Vintage Studded Leather Rodeo Bronc/Motorcycle Kidney Belt, small Woman or youth size, 1940s - 1950s. The wide leather belt has metal studs depicting the poker playing card suits Hearts, Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, in the center of the belt with parallel lines of studs centered above and below. Bronc belts were used by early cowboys to support the lower back, used by rodeo, rough stock riders from the early 19th century through the 1930's, they were adopted by the early motorcyclist in the 1920's. Easily personalized by both cowboys and bikers with names, brands, various jewels and nail heads, they are still used and worn today by both modern cowboys and bikers.
The leather is supple, stitching is tight and intact, four (4) metal buckles and leather straps secure the belt. The studs are uniform in size, except for one which is larger, having been a replacement. Studs and buckles have a uniform patina, oxidation visible. No obvious damage noted, measures 33"L
