The lot features a true master piece, this "Pharaoh" necklace in Sugilite, Turquoise and Sterling Silver collected from David Saity New York, New York in the 1990's. The piece is very similar to work by Andy Lee Kirk (Dine-Isleta, 1947-2001) who was known to work in Sugilite. The necklace is reversible, meaning it can be worn on the sugilite only side or sugilite, turquoise and sterling side. David Saity was a dealer in high end Native American jewelry in the 1990's in New York City. The necklace exhibits a discoidal graduated necklace in rare deep purple Sugilite with eleven gorgeous wedge shaped pendants which show sugilite on one side, a band of sterling silver down the center and turquoise on the other (the bottom piece having turquoise on both sides. The sugilite appears to be "reconstituted" not raw stone, but Saity assured the purchaser that it was indeed sugilite. The top has long tapering sterling silver hairpipe cones with a sterling silver clasp. This is likely from a master Native American artist, as that was David Saity's specialty. Truly a master piece work of art that would make quite the statement. Purchased for over $5,000 in 1990's from David Saity. Measures overall 24.5"L end to end and the wedge pieces are 1 7/8" by 7/8". Each earring measures 2.75"L by 7/8"W.
