These one pound tins of black powder were made in Italy and imported by Alcan Co. out of Alton Illinois. All of the tin is printed in Italian except the back where a charge table is given. The tins measure 4 1/2" tall3 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" deep. One can has its stopper lid the other one does not Both cans have good condition of the painted labeling with minor rusting and paint chipping. Alcan began selling reloading supplies right after WWII - the first company to do so. If it were not for Alcan, the reloading world might be a lot different today. Their success prompted competition from the other possible suppliers; the demand for reloading products spurred the creation of Hodgdon, for example.
