Included in this lot is a Swiss Vetterli Model 1878 bolt action rifle. The rifle utilizes a hardwood stock, a blue'd finish, adjustable rear sights, and 32 1/2" long barrel chambered 10.4mm. The rifle is stamped on the side of the receiver with "Waffenfabrik Bern 202768 M. 78". The barrel is marked "202768" with inspection stamps. The rifle shows good condition overall, with a smooth action, a bright bore, strong rifling, and solid bluing. The rifle does show some light handling marks to the wooden stock and some light patina to the blue'd finish. Serial Number: 202768.
