Featured in this lot is this tanzanite, blue sapphires, and round cut diamond, 14k white gold ring. This ring shows a beautiful arrangement of 14k white gold frame work to the under gallery with a collective gold weight of 4.67gm. The tanzanite stone weighs 0.96 carats and is centered with 54 round diamonds surrounding (collective weight of 0.43 carats), as well as an extravagant accent to the face of the ring with 18 blue sapphires weighing 2.22 carats. At the center of the ring is the round brilliant cut stone cabochon that is four prong set with a nice violet blue coloring, beautiful depth, pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles), and good eye clean clarity. The Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone found only in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. The center stone is supported by a lattice under gallery and is further adorned with natural diamonds that are pave and channel set down the shoulders. The ring shows the Color Jewel's hallmark on the inside of the ring band. The ring size is 7 1/4.
